The Hornets saw the power of the Cougars, as five players had 10 kills or more in the match, lifting the home team to a 3-1 victory. The highly-touted Cougars, at 25-4, had received votes in the latest Class B volleyball poll.

HWC played with the Cougars right out of the gates, as the game was tied at three. Reagan Kjelstrup had four kills in a 10-2 run, moving the Central McLean lead to 13-5. The Hornets didn't have a response in the opening set, as they committed three service errors in a row, helping the Cougars to a 25-10 win.

In the final regular season Super Region 4 matchup, the Hornets took on the Dragons in Harvey on Friday, October 27. The night was designated as Senior Night, as all of the seniors involved in the program were recognized.

The Hornets had their hands full at times in the 3-0 sweep, with the Dragons playing much better than their one win record indicated.

Game one started with a solid run from Dunseith, as they took an 11-6 lead midway through the first set. Neumiller's kill sparked a four-point run, and then another Neumiller kill gave the Hornets a 13-12 lead. Braylee Keller's two kills and back-to-back aces from Fike late in the set helped lift HWC to a 25-15 win.

Harvey-Wells County jumped out early in the second set, taking a 7-3 lead on two Nelson kills. Nelson backed that up with consecutive aces, but Dunseith held strong as kills from Elizabeth Azure and Amelia Morin cut the HWC lead to 11-10. Morin's back-to-back kills kept the Dragons close at 14-13, but the Hornets started to roll with kills from Rylee Jones and Braylee Keller for a four point lead. Leading 21-19, HWC got an ace from Braylee Keller and two kills from Ashley Keller to seal game two, 25-19.

The final set of the night saw the Dragons once again playing very competitive volleyball taking a 6-3 lead early. Kills from Azure and Graycee Gillis kept Dunseith in control, but kills from the Keller girls pulled HWC back to within one at 10-9. With the game knotted at 13, Gillis started a three- point run with a kill and the visitors led, 16-13. Enter Braylee Keller to serve, as the freshman served six straight points and was the recipient of two kills from Ashley Keller to propel HWC to a 20-16 lead. Dunseith got a kill from Jordin Davis and cut the lead to two, but Ashley Keller added two more late kills as the Hornets sealed the set and match, 25-21.
