One-Act Play wins Region 5

In this scene from "Nellie", a play by Robby Steltz, famed pioneer journalist Nellie Bly, played by Kelsi Neuman (seated), goes undercover and sees for herself the abuses of patients in what would then have been called an insane asylum. Also in this scene are Briley Carr (Miss Grupe), Nela McKibben (Nurse) and Ben Gustafson (Dr. Kinier).

The four are part of Carrington High School's One-Act Play troupe, directed by Jill Fandrich and Paige Thomas. CHS captured the Region 5 championship for their dramatic efforts at the regional competition Wednesday, November 8, in Jamestown, and will be competing in the State Class B One-Act Play Contest today and tomorrow (Nov. 20-21), also in Jamestown.
