M-P-B routed by Lions; G-M boys lose to Raiders

In late Tuesday night action from this past reporting period, the Medina/Pingree-Buchanan Thunder girls basketball team was stymied by the Linton-HMB Lady Lions, 66-18, in the District 2 opener for both clubs.

The Lions improved to 6-1 and 1-0 in the district, while M-P-B fell to 1-6 and 0-1 within league play.

Nondistrict boys basketball from Tuesday saw the Griggs/Midkota Titans travel to Page to take on the Maple River Raiders.

The home squad came away with a win over the Titans, 59-49.

G-M is now 1-2 with the loss, while Maple River evened up their overall record at 2-2.
