Knights of Columbus free throw contest Jan. 28

The Knights of Columbus Council 4951 will be conducting a basketball free throw contest on Sunday, January 28 at the Carrington High School east gym (use door #7).

Area boys and girls, ages 9 to 14 (as of Jan. 1, 2024), are invited to compete in the contest. Registration and warm-ups will begin at 1 p.m. and the contest will start at 1:30.

A registration form, available at the site, needs to be completed including parent signature for youth to participate.

All girls plus boys ages 9-11 will use a women's regulation-size ball. All contestants ages 9-11 will shoot from a 12-foot line; ages 12-14 will shoot from the standard 15-foot line. Each contestant will be allowed 3 warm-up shots before shooting 15 consecutive shots for the competition. All participants will receive awards.
