The Knights of Columbus basketball free-throw contest was conducted by Carrington Council 4951 on Sunday, January 28 at the Carrington High School east gym.
James Oatis was the 10-year-old winner. Radke Hooey won the 11-year-old division and had the highest shooting percentage of all contestants making 14 of 15 shots.
Brooks Mozelle took second-place honors in the 11-year-old division. Zayden Nitschke won the 12-year-old division, with Howie Simonson taking second place.
Justin Hone won the 14-year-old division making 13 of 15 shots and Isaiah Richter placed second.
The local contest winners are eligible to compete in the Knights of Columbus district contest, scheduled for Sunday, February 4 in Devils Lake at the Sweetwater School gym at 2:30 p.m.
