Carrington Spelling Bee participants, left to right, Adeline Beal, Della Wittman, Nathan Boeshans, Jennie Lee, Howard Simonson, Mya Neis, Isaiah Richter and Nehemiah Gacho participate in the written round of the school competition Tuesday, February 13, in the Elementary Library. Simonson, Neis, Richter and Gacho advanced to the oral round, and it took 29 total rounds for Simonson to emerge as the winner by correctly spelling "nitrogen".
