Corey Neys

Corey Louis Neys, 47, passed away unexpectantly on February 9, 2024, at his home in Buchanan, N.D.

Corey was born September 29, 1976, at Jamestown Hospital to Gary and Donna Neys. Corey graduated from Pingree-Buchanan High School in 1995 and then attended NDSCS in Wahpeton, N.D.

Corey married Holly (Burchill) Neys in July 16, 2011. Together they had three children, Hayden, Nolan, and Karlie. He also welcomed a stepson, Carter, and loved him as one of his own.

Through the years, he helped numerous farmers, worked as a sales agronomist, and loved raising cattle with his dad and brothers. The past few years he has worked for Ova Farms.

Corey's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. He was a beacon of kindness, generosity, and had an endless love for children. Corey had a unique ability to connect with kids, whether they were his own cherished children, his friend's children, or his beloved nieces and nephews.

Corey will also be remembered as a loyal and devoted friend. A true friend through and through, Corey cherished the bonds he formed with his close-knit group of friends. Always ready with a helping hand and listening ear, he cultivated deep and meaningful connections with an incredible circle of friends. Whether it be through daily phone calls, texts, snap chats or shared stories over drinks at the local pub, Corey's presence brought joy and comfort to those around him. His vibrant and social nature lit up any room he entered.

Corey will be deeply missed by his parents, Gary and Donna Neys, of Buchanan, N.D.; his children, Hayden, Nolan, Karlie, and stepson Carter Burchill, all of Jamestown, N.D.; his brothers, Brent of Aberdeen, S.D., and Dusty (Sheena) Neys of Jamestown, N.D.; his godsons and nephews, Brady and Treyton and other nieces and nephews, Mason, Kaitlyn, Jaelyn, Kyrah; his aunts and uncles, Jerry Neys of Buchanan, N.D., Deb (Jack) Ova, Craig (Terrie) Neys, both of Jamestown, N.D., Becky (Tim) Prodzinski of Fargo, N.D., Ron (Paula) Neys of Northville, Mich., and Dan Wahl of Fargo, N.D., and several cousins and a special girlfriend, Elizabeth Hoggarth.
