Members of North Dakota’s American Legion Posts of the 4th District (Sheridan, Wells, Eddy, Foster and Stutsman counties) and their Auxiliary will gather in Jamestown at the All Vets Club (116 1st St. East) for their 2024 Spring District Meeting on Saturday, March 23 starting at 7:00 p.m.
Registration and a social will start at 5:00 p.m. followed by a meal at 6:00 p.m. The cost of the meal is $15.
District Commander Jon Metz of Gackle Post 250 will preside over the session. Department Commander Clarence L. Carroll III of Larimore Post 97 and other department officers will be in attendance.
Legionnaires will be brought up-to-date on upcoming youth activities such as American Legion Boys State to be held in June on the North Dakota State School of Science Campus in Wahpeton and the American Legion Baseball Season.
Representatives will elect a new district commander and a district vice commander for the coming, 2024-2025 Legion year. Joining the members of the District will be area Department committee members, Department Vice Commander and candidates for various Legion offices seeking support at the Department Convention in Bismarck, June 21-23, 2024.
