Foster County is proposing to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) with Stutsman County for their emergency management services, but the 911 coordinator position may not end up in the deal.
During the Foster County Commission meeting held on Tuesday, March 5, Foster County Auditor/Treasurer Ellen Roundy told the board that the agreement would be on an annual basis starting April 1 and ending at the end of the year, to renew January 1 of every year thereafter.
She said it will cost the county $2,000 per month, not including office supplies and extra time spent in the event of an emergency in Foster County.
She wasn't sure if Stutsman County will contract for the 911 coordinator position, however.
Confirmation of the JPA is dependent upon Stutsman County board approval. Motion passed.
