The Carrington Gymnastics Club competed at the USA Gymnastics state competition Friday-Sunday, March 22-24, at the Jamestown Civic Center.
A quartet of the club's athletes earned automatic qualification for the Xcel Regionals, to be held in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on April 19-21.
In the Gold Division, Paisley Lura placed sixth in vault, and eighth in both balance beam and the all-around to qualify for Iowa.
Three Silver Division gymnasts did well enough to punch their ticket to the Xcel as well.
Kennedy VanRay was the only club member to finish in the top 10 in four different events. She was third in vault, fifth in beam, tied for sixth in floor exercise, and was seventh in all-around.
Brynlee Hoff took third in vault, tied for runner-up honors on floor, and was fourth in all-around, and Addison Thompson was seventh in both beam and tied for that placing on floor.
