All a-buzz about the CNDC Indoor

The HWC track and field team traveled to the Minot State University Dome for the CNDC Indoor meet on Thursday, March 28.

Bottineau claimed the top spot on both the boys' and girls' side, but the HWC boys scored 71.5 points to finish in third while the girls scored 31, finishing in ninth place.

The boys picked up three first place finishes on the day, as Kayl Sieg claimed the top spot in the 200-meter dash and Tallen Thorson claimed the 55 hurdle race. The Hornets also took the 4x160, with Carson Heilman, Kayl Sieg, Keaton Keller and Tallen Thorson running a winning time of 1:16.41.

Carson Heilman was the only individual for HWC to place in two open events, as he finished second in the 55 dash and fourth in the 200.

For the HWC girls, Christalea Wagner picked up 18 points by finishing second in the 55 dash and claiming the top spot in the 200 dash. Addisyn Faul and Braylee Keller also had high finishes with the third and fourth spots in the 55 hurdles.
