Each Year Bismarck State College along with the North Dakota Masonic Foundation sponsors the Know Your State Competition for juniors and seniors across the state of North Dakota.
The competition consists of a local level test conducted at each school followed by the finals held at Bismarck State College. This year's competition was the 66th annual event held on April 30.
Students that score in the top 30% across the state qualify for the finals in Bismarck.
The final test covers topics such as North Dakota history, government, geography, economics, literature, arts and current events.
This year, nine students from Carrington High School qualified as finalists. Each was awarded a certificate, book and medallion for competing.
