In the Foster County Commission story that ran in the May 13 edition of the Independent, the motion to bid out minimum road maintenance was incorrect.
The motion was made to go ahead with bidding out the grinding and reclamation of part of the Club Hall Road near Kensal.
According to County Engineer Mike Rivinius, the two roads in the poorest condition are the Club Hall and Murphy roads.
The county will not be bidding out minimum maintenance of roads for 2024.
The confusion was due to a discussion during the meeting of having a county road crew worker help with the reclamation and bidding out the maintenance he performs every day on county roads for the few weeks he is helping on the reclamation project.
The Independent regrets the error.
