Ruthers get win

The Carrington Babe Ruth baseball team played both of Mayville's teams on Monday, July 1, in Red River Valley league play.

In game one, the Redbirds lost to the #1 team, 10-0, but got their first league win of the season by a 3-2 tally against team #2.

Last Tuesday, the 'Birds were slated to play New Rockford at home for two league games. If the games happen, results will appear in the July 15 edition.

Today (July 8), the Birds play Cooperstown at home for two league games, and face Nelson County in a single game on Wednesday, July 10. All three games will be at City Park.
