Carrington's Independence Day parade battles rain
There was no "official" fireworks display, but area residents certainly picked up the slack in that department.
The Annual Independence Day parade, sponsored by the Carrington Chamber & EDC, was a stormy one with rain drenching the parade entries as well as spectators.
Dozens of units participated along a route down Main Street and passed Golden Acres Manor, Bethel Chapel and Trinity Lutheran Church.
Parade judges chose Dennis Swanson's red 1966 Ford Galaxie as Best Vehicle.
