The Carrington Redbirds were on opposite ends of sweeps this past week, falling in 12-2 and 13-1 fashion to New Rockford on July 2 and taking a pair of victories against Cooperstown, 15-0 and 17-2, last Monday, July 8.
That leaves one more game on the Birds' schedule, a Wednesday, July 10 game with Nelson County, before the start of the league tournament in Mayville, slated for July 17-21. The team has an automatic bid for the State B Babe Ruth Tournament in Carrington, July 26-30, as the host club.
