The Redbirds poured it on with multi-run innings in all five frames, led by a six-run fourth, to take a District 4 victory by mercy rule over the Rattlers in Wishek on July 2.
Sixth batter Max Whitman tormented LAW all game long, reaching all four times on base and scoring on each occasion, and finishing 3-for-3 with a double and two runs driven in.
Ryder Bickett was the other Post 25 player with two hits, and he also added a stolen base. Grady Shipman's Legion season power surge continued with his fourth home run, driving in three RBIs and accounting for three runs.
The other extra base hit was provided by Hudson Schmitz, a double. Both he and Owen Hagel were 1-for-3 with a run and two RBIs at the plate, and Tate Wolsky had the other hit alng with an RBI.
Winning the game on the mound was Kyle Johnson, as he threw three innings before being relieved by Wolsky for the final two. Wolsky gave up three runs in the final inning, but prevented the game from moving on past the fifth.
Both teams finished with nine hits, with three of LAW's coming from Connor Kosiak. Parker Salwei doubled and singled, and four other Rattler players had hits in the loss. Levi Keeney had two RBIs.

Kael Kovar carried a shutout into the seventh inning, and Carrington rode home runs from Shipman and Josh Bickett to take a crucial District 4 win over New Rockford Post 30 at City Park July 9.
The Redbirds got single tallies in the first, third and fifth innings, and tacked on two insurance runs in the sixth to pick up the win.
Kovar's bid to blank Post 30 was thwarted by a Connor Knatterud solo home run with one out in the seventh.
Shipman got Post 25 off and running with a solo home run in the first, his sixth of the summer.
In the third, Shipman's drive to right-center field was misplayed for a drop, allowing Jack Erickson to score from second and make it 2-0, Carrington.
Two frames later, Shipman was once again in the middle of a Post 25 rally, cracking a one-out double and scoring on Hudson Schmitz's opposite-field single to right.
Bickett would strike gold with his first career home run for Post 25, a two-run shot to bring home himself and Kovar.
On the hill, Kovar was effectively wild in his complete game effort for the Redbirds, walking five, striking out seven, and giving up five hits while throwing 120 pitches.
Luke Yri led the Black Sox lineup with a 2-for-2 effort, and Thomas Allmaras and Skye Kramlich had hits in addition to Knatterud's solo shot.
With the exception of the two home run balls, Easton Simon pitched well for Post 30. In his six innings, Simon scattered eight hits, four earned runs, and got three strikeouts. He did not walk a batter, and threw 81 pitches, 62 for strikes.
The loss dropped Post 30 to 4-5 overall and 1-3 in District 4 games.
