Walter Heinitz

Walter E. Heinitz, 79, passed away on July 11, 2024, in Austin, Texas.

Born on September 27, 1944, in Carrington, N.D., he was a cherished member of his community and a devoted family man.

Walter spent his career with Highline Electric Association, dedicating 35 years from 1973 until his retirement in 2008. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Beyond his professional life, Walter was a loving husband to Gloria Heinitz (née Coyne) for 56 years, and a father to Craig (Ian), Teresa and Ryan Heinitz. His joy was multiplied as a grandfather to Isabelle, Caleb, Jorja, and one great-grandchild. Walter also leaves behind a sister, Wanda Wright of Scott City, Kansas, and a brother, Dennis Heinitz of Little Rock, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his brother Doug, and his parents, Elroy and Jane Heinitz (Koller).

Walter was a graduate of Carrington High School in North Dakota. He was remembered by his loved ones as a kind, simple and loving individual who cherished the time spent traveling and creating memories with his family and friends.

In accordance with his wishes, Walter's services were private for family.
