Anne Dalsted
Anne Dalsted of Jamestown, N.D., died early Sunday morning, August 25, 2024, at home.
Anne was the daughter of J.A. (Arnie) and May Gilje born October 29, 1949, in Carrington, N.D. She graduated from Carrington High School in 1967 and Concordia College, Moorehead, Minn., in 1971. Anne worked at the Alexandria Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital Fargo, Jamestown Hospital as a medical technologist and as a library para in Jamestown Elementary schools.
Anne married Kenneth Dalsted on October 7, 1978, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carrington. They were members of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown.
Over the years Ken and Anne enjoyed traveling and visiting friends and relatives.
Anne loved baking Scandinavian Christmas treats, rolling lefse, and quilting. Since 1986 she has enjoyed summers at her happy place, Big Twin Lake in Minnesota, surrounded by family and friends. There she sought the fish, manned the grill, picked berries, played countless games, and read in peace.
Anne is survived by her husband Kenneth; three children Nancy (Karl) Stamm, Jenny Dalsted, and Peter Dalsted; grandson Henry Stamm; brother Paul Gilje, sister-in-law Fredricka Gilje, sister-in-law Elizabeth (Lynn) Coles, sister-in-law Barbara Dalsted; and eight nieces and nephews.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents J.A. and May Gilje; brother Charles Gilje; mother and father-in-law Leonard and Pam Dalsted; sister-in-law Judith Gilje; and brother-in-law Jack Dalsted.

Funeral Service was held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown. A luncheon followed the service. Burial will be near her happy place at Shell Lake Immanuel Lutheran Church, Minn. at a later date.
