Awana begins September 11

Calvary Baptist Church will begin another year of Awana ministry in the Carrington area on Wednesday, September 11.

Awana curriculum features age-appropriate Bible lessons for Cubbies (pre-school), Sparks (kindergarten and early elementary), Truth & Training (elementary) clubbers, and Trek (Jr. High) students.

Cubbies develop respect for God, His Son, and His Word as they learn basic truths about God, Jesus, and salvation.

Sparks ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.

The T&T (Truth & Training) curriculum teaches kids the truth of God’s Word, trains them to follow Him, and guides them to a deeper understanding of God’s grace and how to practice His grace in real life.

This year’s Trek focuses on Jesus and His ministry as told through the Gospel of Luke, answering the question, “Why am I here?”

Each club night includes a Large Group Lesson, Small Group handbook time, and Game Time. Awana meets most Wednesday evenings during the school year and follows the Carrington Public School calendar.

Registration, handbooks and uniforms, and all other expenses are sponsored entirely by Calvary Baptist Church as a gift to the community. Clubbers must be pre-registered online at https://forms.gle/kUyGXhJJMzBdviAi9. The link is available on the Carrington Awana Facebook page, and a QR code is printed in an ad in this edition of the Independent.

Calvary Baptist also sponsors a Youth Group for Senior High students, with gatherings at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights at the church building.

Calvary Baptist Church is located at 725 Main Street in Carrington. Questions about the Awana program should be directed to Linda Schuster at 701-653-6028.
