G-M defeated by Loboes in debut

The Griggs/Midkota Titans got off to a slow start against the LaMoure/Litchville-Marion Loboes at LaMoure's Townsend Field, and went home with a 40-8 loss.

Cole Vincent scored the only touchdown for the Titans in the fourth quarter on a 3-yard run. Brady Dewald added the two-point conversion.

L-L-M quarterback Mason Warcken tossed four touchdown passes, two each going to Gunner Thielges and Owen Lesko. Thielges also added a 90-yard touchdown run.

G-M is coached again this year by Ryan Dockter, and the Titans' goal is to improve on last year's 1-7 record and put themselves squarely in contention within Nine-Man Region 2.

The Titans hosted the fifth-ranked Sargent County Bulldogs this past Friday, and will be on the road this week in Wyndmere to take on the W-L Warbirds starting at 7 p.m.
