In District 6 battle, Lions edge Thunder

M/P-B takes four-set win over LaMoure/L-M earlier in week -

The Medina/Pingree-Buchanan Thunder volleyball team showed their mettle as a Region 3 contender with solid showings in a two-match split September 19 and 21.

In Pingree, M/P-B didn't let a first set loss to LaMoure/Litchville-Marion faze them, as they bounced back from that three-point defeat with 25-15, 25-14 and 25-21 wins over the Loboes.

The District 6 match of the year followed two days later, with the number one and two teams in the league, Linton-HMB and M/P-B, battling it out for who will most likely be the number one seed in tournament play.

In a five-set thriller, the Lions sent the Thunder to defeat in Hazelton, 25-23, 16-25, 25-19, 18-25 and 8-15.
