Cultivating Thriving Communities ... that is the motto of Bremer Bank.
Bremer Bank is built on a commitment to cultivate strong communities and help customers succeed and grow.
"We focus on our customers and their needs," said Bob Lipetzky of Bremer Bank in Carrington.
"Our services are very individualized for every customer."
Bremer Bank offers many amenities such as full-service banking, investments, mortgage, trust, insurance and wealth management.
They focus on mid-size companies, agribusinesses and farmers, commercial real estate, education, healthcare, local government, manufacturing, nonprofits, professional services and small businesses.
Serving Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota, Bremer Bank employs 1,500 people and is privately owned by the Otto Bremer Trust and Bremer employees.
With over $16.3 billion in assets, Bremer Bank is in it for the long haul.
Lipetzky said they also pride themselves on being on the leading edge of technology.
"We have to be to keep up with hackers as well as other banks," he said.
But where did Bremer Bank get its start?
Their motto goes all the way back to the founder of Bremer Bank, Otto Bremer, and still stands true today.
Bremer came to St. Paul as a young German immigrant in 1886 seeking new opportunities. Over the next 36 years he worked his way up to become chairman of the American National Bank as well as a dedicated community leader involved in civic, financial and corporate life.
Bremer's financial acumen led to investments in many independent rural banks in the Upper Midwest.
During the great depression, Bremer liquidated many of his personal assets to strengthen those banks and help them ride out hard times.
Partnering with United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Farm Rescue and the Great Plains Food Bank, to name a few, Bremer Bank employees are committed to the communities in which they live, growing the places they call home.
