Medina/Pingree-Buchanan volleyball had a productive day at the Lisbon-Enderlin Subway Classic Saturday, October 5, winning five out of six matches and finishing the day as the consolation champions of the event.
The Thunder went 2-1 in play from the Enderlin "White" pool, defeating Hankinson (25-15, 25-20) and Larimore (25-5, 25-11) before taking a two-set loss to eventual tourney champion Maple River (17-25, 21-25).
The defeat by to the Raiders set M/P-B to the consolation bracket in the Enderlin gym, where they took a win over White Shield (25-7, 25-7), followed by another sweep against Cavalier (25-11, 25-11), and defeated Sargent County in straight sets, 25-18 and 25-10, to finish up their day.
The 5-1 showing at the Subway Classic put the Thunder's record for the season at 21-5, before their District 6 match against Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter this past Tuesday evening.
