Cards, Titans run at Rugby, G/M also at Mayville before East Region meet -
Tianna McCardle and Kadence Spickler compete for G/M at a meet in Mayville.
Jaedyn Lura and Cyrena Kuss also run down the course in Rugby. Kuss placed 60th (24:22.00) and Lura was 67th (24:42.97).
Howie Simonson runs for the Cards in a recent meet. Simonson placed 138th at the Rugby Booster Club Invitational on Saturday, October 5, with a 23:41.39 time.
The home stretch beckons for area cross country runners, as they got their last regular season meets in before the East Region and state competitions.
Both Carrington and Griggs/Midkota were in action Saturday, October 5, at the 30th Rugby Booster Club Invitational, and the Titans were also among the field at the Patriot Invitational hosted by May-Port-CG High School two days earlier on Thursday, October 3.
Individual highlights included the Titans' Kadence Spickler and Tianna McCardle finishing 1-2 in the girls' race in Rugby, and swapping places in Mayville. CHS' Macy Fiebiger had a top 20 finish, placing 19th at Rugby.
The State Class 'B' meet will be held at Parkhurst in Jamestown Friday, October 25.
