G/M netters fall to PRFL

The Griggs/Midkota Titans ran into a tough Park River/Fordville-Lankin team Thursday, Oct. 10, and came away with a 12-25, 18-25 and 14-25 defeat. The match was G/M's Pink Night to honor breast cancer survivors and victims.

Kelsey Johnson led the Titans with five kills, while Alette Adrian and Jessa Spickler had three apiece. Emma McCullough had 16 assists in the loss, and Kylie Johnson had a team-high eight digs, with Vanessa Vollmer and Jersey Gronneberg going for seven each.

Against LaMoure/Litchville-Marion back on Oct. 3, McCullough achieved her 1,000th career assist, and has been an effective facilitator for the Titan offense during her years as the G/M setter.

On Tuesday, the Titans got one of their biggest wins of the season with a five-set District 5 triumph over the Ellendale Cardinals (25-21, 19-25, 27-25, 23-25, 15-8). The win puts G/M into the fifth seed currently, pending their result with Carrington on Monday.
