Annette Borgerson

Annette Borgerson, 89, of Fessenden, N.D. passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 22, 2024 at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford, N.D. Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2024 at the First Lutheran Church in Fessenden with Pastor Shirley Teske officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at a later date.

Annette was born prematurely on Nov. 16, 1935 to Henry and Annie (Overby) Hagle in Valley City, N.D. due to a surprise appendectomy surgery. She was raised around Binford, N.D. where she helped her mother in the café and graduated from school there. She was united in marriage to Marvin Borgerson on Aug. 14, 1959 in Binford. To this union, the couple welcomed three children, Joette, Renae and Lonny. After moving to Fessenden, Annette worked at Reiner Widiger's paint store part-time, but her main job was a homemaker where she cared for granddaughter, Torrie. She will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

Annette is survived by her husband, Marvin of 65 years; sisters Mildred (Robert) Lura of Cooperstown, N.D. and Evelyn Canton of Phoenix, Ariz.; her children, Joette (Steve) Yellow of Fort Yates, N.D., Renae (Myron) Heintz of Fessenden, N.D., and Lonny Borgerson of Devils Lake, N.D.; her four grandchildren, Steven Yellow, Melissa Yellow, Christopher Yellow and Torrie Buelling; nine great-grandchildren: Madison, Liam, Haylee, Ryan, Parker, Kooper, Conner, Presley and Kendall; sisters-in-law, Eunice Morlock and Audrey Borgerson; brother-in-law Ellis Pittinger; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Annie Hagle; sisters Florence (Frank) Fiebiger and Flora Pittenger; brothers, Melvin, George, Alfred, Floyd and Harold Hagle; brothers-in-law, Peter Canton, Arthur Morlock, Burton Borgerson and Raymond (Donna) Borgerson.
