Storm Hostetter joins Total Farm Marketing

New Sales Director brings farm marketing guidance to the community

Storm Hostetter's agricultural journey began on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where he grew up on a working corn, bean, and cattle farm. His childhood on the farm taught him the importance of hard work, community, and building relationships-values he carries with him today in his role as Sales Director at Total Farm Marketing.

After moving to Colorado to attend school, Storm continued working with farmers on the Eastern Plains while also pursuing part-time work as a hunting guide. His time spent collaborating with farmers on land management, leasing rights, and partner relations solidified his passion for agriculture.

"From the very start, I knew I wanted to be part of the farming community," says Storm. "The relationships I've built with farmers, whether through land management or grain marketing, have always been at the heart of my work. I'm excited to bring that same commitment to Total Farm Marketing."

Storm's love for wide-open spaces and sustainable agriculture led him to the Twin Cities, where he worked for a technology-based agriculture company. There, he gained valuable experience in grain marketing, sustainable farming practices, and leveraging technology to support agricultural operations. This experience gave him a comprehensive understanding of modern farming tools, which he now applies to help farmers thrive.

After a successful stint in the technology industry, Storm transitioned back into the agriculture sector with Total Farm Marketing. His role as Sales Director focuses on helping farmers develop tailored grain marketing and risk management strategies. While his territory spans the Dakotas, Montana, Nebraska, and Wyoming, Storm's expertise also reaches as far as California and Arizona.

"Storm's mission at Total Farm Marketing is to build strong, lasting relationships with farmers while helping them navigate the complexities of grain marketing and risk management," says Brad Peterson, Vice President of Sales of Total Farm Marketing. "His goal is to empower farmers with personalized strategies that not only protect their operations but also help them thrive in an ever-changing market. With his dedication to understanding each farmer's unique needs, Storm is committed to providing the tools and support that will make a difference for farmers in the community."
