Thunder split with Oakes, Warwick; get first win

The M/P-B Thunder girls struggled in a 48-17 loss in Oakes to the Tornadoes on Saturday, Dec. 7, but earned their first win of the season three nights later with a 62-7 result over the Warwick Lady Warriors.

Brynn Sorenson led the Thunder with eight points in the defeat against Oakes, and added six in the Warwick game to elevate M/P-B to 1-2 on the season. Abby Ryun had a big game against the Warriors with 22 points, followed by Savannah Reister (14) and Kylee Hoffmann (12).

The Thunder host Griggs/Midkota Tuesday night, Dec. 17 in Pingree, then start District 2 play Thursday evening when they face Linton/HMB in Medina.
